FAQ

Why do you focus on the CIO?

Because we believe this is the most critical role in the IT industry. We also realise that the role of CIO is under scrutiny and the relationship between IT and the boardroom is often far from harmonious.

Aren’t you the guys that deliver the IT Demystified course?

That is true. And we still do. Delegates range from IT recruiters through to business users. We believe that the responsibility for delivering business value through IT requires all people involved in the IT supply chain to understand IT. Again the CIO in our opinion is the most critical person on this chain.

Do you have to register to use the shop?

Yes. From that point on you will be able to shop without having to repeatedly enter your personal data.

Do you store card data?

No we do not store card data. When you are ready to checkout you will be redirected to the RBS Worldpay secure payment gateway. There you will be asked for card details.

Are there any other benefits to being registered?

Yes. There are membership perks in that you will receive relevant member-only offers from time to time. We acknowledge loyalty and so have a scheme in place whereby loyal clients receive across the board e-store discounts.

I am concerned that I will be inundated with sales messages if I register. What is the reality?

Our aim is to build trust with our clients at every opportunity. With that in mind our communications will be relevant, of value and of low frequency.

How do the webinars work?

You just need an Internet connection and a phone. We will send you an email with a link to join the webinar closer to the event. We will also send you a user manual which will give you some information in respect of joining the webinar and the webinar platform. It is very very straightforward!

How do the e-guides work?

Once you make the purchase we will send you a link to our e-guide server from where you can download the e-guide you have purchased.

Why the name Auridian?

It stems from Greek mythology. Auridian was a creature that roamed the void that sat between two distrusting tribes. Auridian recognised that it was in the interests of both parties that they set their differences aside and joined forces. The modern equivalent of these tribes being the user and IT communities respectively.

Not really. We made it up.

How long have you been in business?

We were formed in 1996 by Ade McCormack, an ex-technologist who realised that business people generally had no idea what IT people were talking about. And worse still, IT people didn't care. He realised that this was the source of many of today's business-IT issues. Click here to find out more about Ade.

You don’t seem to focus on my job title. Do you have plans to extend your offerings?

We intend to extend our reach in line with market demand. If you feel that we could be serving you. Then let us know and that may well trigger us into action! Let us know.
